The Next to Last Debt Payment

Last night I looked at my online bank statement to check if "the check" had gone out and been credited.

    It was pending.

    Credit card total: $2,594.79
    Pending credit card payment: $1,600

    I grinned. Not smiled, GRINNED.

This is really it. This will be the next to LAST credit card payment I have to make. After this one, there is just ONE MORE.
As long as no terrible catastrophe befalls me, like somebody dropping a piano on my car or me waking up in the ER in a full body cast, or Martians attacking and I have to charge my way to a safe haven.

   Or something.

But I'm not even going there. There's only room, and call, for positive thinking.

I'm almost done with this part of my financial journey.

Excuse me while I go do an abbreviated version of my happy dance. I'll do a full-on dance when I get that credit card statement that says:
    Balance: $0.00

    DH

Great job! Oh I can't wait for that for myself although I have a long ways to go for the total. I see you've been working on it for quite a while yourself. You deserve a big pat on the back - congrats!!!

Woohoo! That's so exciting to read, I can't even imagine what it must feel like for you!

Really looking forward to seeing your post with it all gone!

Nice job! I just finished paying off my credit cards -- what a great feeling!
