All work and no play won't make debt go away

I made a mistake with my budget.
There's nothing fun in it. It's all bill paying and saving.
That's one of the best ways to make sure that I stray from the budget or chuck it altogether.

Lesson: HAVE MORE FUN!
When I'm super tight with spending and budget every penny to paying bills and saving, eventually I'm going to snap and splurge. Remember, anorexic spending leads to bulimic binges.
So, include some money each month in the budget for fun -- shopping, movies, shows, eating out whatever. I ordered a pizza this week because I just wanted one. Friday night I went to see a band. Saturday afternoon I went to the movies (matinee of course).
And I'm not in danger of overspending for the month. Which is a good thing since my guy's birthday is this month and I want to do something special. Now I can.

i totally agree! everything in moderation, whether it be food, work, play or spending.

Absolutely, you MUST have some fun! And just think, when you get all the debt paid off, you can have more fun! I finally did it, last month, I got the rest of my debt paid off and I can't believe how much less stress I feel! I can't wait to see you get here too! I know you can do it! :)

You know what they say, about all work and no play. I just realized this recently that I can leave fun money in the budget without feeling guilty about it.
